The investigation by the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau led to the apprehension of Kevin Keith Price, 54, who is accused of multiple sexual assaults in Woodbridge between July 1994 and July 2002, officials announced on Friday, March 24.
It is alleged that Price, who now calls Omaha home in Nebraska, targeted his victim - who was under the age of 13 at the time of the incidents - and sexually assaulted them on more than one occasion over the eight years.
The victim reported the incidents to police in May 2022, prompting an extensive police investigation. Officials noted that the victim and Price are known to one another, though the nature of their relationship was not disclosed by investigators.
Following the police probe in Virginia, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Price, who was located and taken into custody in Douglas County, Nebraska last month.
Earlier this month, Price was extradited back to Prince William County and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and three counts of sodomy, officials said.
Price’s initial court date is pending and he is being held without bond.
